Use of this website and of all the sites related or linked to or by this Web site (www.hoy-milonga.com), and of all its subsidiaries and partners, including the worldwide websites of Hoy Milonga (hereinafter and collectively, the "Site"), is governed by these Terms and Conditions (hereinafter the "Conditions of Use").

BY USING THIS SITE, YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS OF USE. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS, PLEASE ABSTAIN FROM USING THE WEB SITE. Therefore, if you access this website or sign up using your Facebook account data, you consent to the terms hereof and the access we shall have to your data, profile, friends list, etc. Furthermore, you consent to receiving e-mails from us; although you can change this in the settings and / or unsubscribe from the e-mailing list. Any infringer of the intellectual property rights hereof, shall be sued for infringement of the law, and shall be liable of the legal penalties described herein and/or shall pay the punitive damages set forth herein.

Liability: Hoy Milonga accepts no liability for any technical difficulties or Internet failures, or any other problem beyond the Site’s control, that may render the site unavailable.

Misuse or reproduction of the Content without the express written consent by Hoy Milonga shall be liable to legal action. This terms and conditions shall not be construed as an agreement or bidding agreement legally binding the website and the user or visitor. THE USE OF THIS WEBSITE OR THE INTERNET RAISES A POSSIBLE RISK- OF DAMAGE TO THE SOFTWARE AND/OR HARDWARE OF THE USER. Documents and files herein can contain viruses or, as in the case the user’s computer is connected to other computers, the user or visitor’s computer MAY BE ATTACKED BY HACKERS WHO MAY HAVE ACCESS TO THE INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THE USER´S COMPUTER, and that information shall be liable to removal or damage. The Terms and Conditions shall be construed and performed under the laws of the Argentine Republic. The User shall abide by the court jurisdiction and laws of the Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires (autonomous city of Buenos Aires) for the resolution of any dispute, controversy or problem regarding these Terms and Conditions.

The User is responsible to check these Terms and Conditions regularly for any updates to them. If the User continues to use the Site after any change has been made thereto, it shall be construed that the User consents to these changes. Only when the User abides by and agrees to these Terms and Conditions of Use, shall Hoy Milonga offer a personal, limited, non-transferable and non-exclusive right to the accessibility and use of the Site.

The User shall be liable for any damages to Hoy Milonga, its subsidiaries, companies under its control or controlling it, directors, managers, representatives and/or employees, for any claim or suit filed by other Users or third parties regarding the activities in this Site or the infringement of the Terms and Conditions and/or other Privacy Policies contained herein.

Lastly, it is important to acknowledge that the Site may have links to other websites owned by third parties (hereinafter, the “linked sites”). Such linked sites are offered only for the interest of the User. Hoy Milonga does not control those linked sites and shall not be held liable for and shall not consent to the content therein, including materials and other information. It is up to the User to use or visit those linked sites.

Participation in the "Chapa Milonguera" Program

What is it?

The Chapa Milonguera program is a points and rewards system similar to those used by other initiatives. A well-known example is the frequent flyer program offered by airlines: the more you travel, the more miles you earn and the higher your status (bronze, silver, gold, etc.).

“Chapa Milonguera” (or simply La Chapa) also refers to the badge indicating your status in the program. In our case, the more tango-related activities you do, the more points you accumulate, and the more prestigious your Chapa label becomes.

Labels are tango-themed and assigned based on points earned over the past 3 months. See the Chapa Milonguera Annex for more details.

The program aims to promote tango activities in a fun, game-like way. Over time, benefits will be introduced for the most active participants.

By participating in the Chapa Milonguera program (the “Program”), you agree to these Terms, including the Annexes, and the general terms of using Hoy Milonga. Please read them carefully. If you do not accept the Terms, you may not participate.

General Conditions

These Terms govern the relationship between you and Hoy Milonga (contacto@hoy-milonga.com), hereafter the “Organizer.” Any questions or comments should be directed to the contact above.

Eligibility

The program is open to all Hoy Milonga Club members, including those in their free trial period, who are of legal age in their jurisdiction. The Organizer may require proof of eligibility.

Use of Geolocation

To earn points, you must register your activities and allow us to validate them. To register attendance at an event, you must allow us to access your geolocation to verify your presence. We do not store this data.

Prizes

The program may award prizes based on recorded activities. At launch (October 2024), the MILONGUER@ OF THE MONTH award will be offered. Prize availability and criteria may change. See the Prizes Annex for more information.

The following members may participate but are not eligible for prizes:

Hoy Milonga staff
All tango professionals (anyone who has been paid for tango-related services in the past 12 months, including teachers and event organizers)

Prize Winners – Selection and Announcement

Winners authorize the Organizer to use their name, image, and participation (photo, video, slogans, statements, and bio) in global advertising for up to 5 years. No additional payment or contracts will be required unless legally mandated.

Winners will be notified privately via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, or email. If contact cannot be made within four (4) business days, or the participant has violated these Terms, the prize may be forfeited and reassigned.

Decisions by the Organizer are final. Prizes are personal, non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and non-refundable. Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes.

Liability

This program is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Google, Meta, or Microsoft. By participating, you release all associated social media platforms from any liability.

To the extent permitted by law, participants release the Organizer from any liability related to the Program, including winner selection and prize usage. Except in cases of gross negligence or intent, liability is limited to the prize value.

Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint, we will attempt to resolve it internally. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Argentina. All disputes will be submitted to the courts of Buenos Aires City.

Personal Data

Any personal data submitted is managed according to the Hoy Milonga Privacy Policy.

Chapa Milonguera Annex

Point requirements and labels may change without notice. Points and Chapa status are calculated in real time.

You can view your activities by logging into the “My Activities” menu, and see your Chapa status and label requirements in the “My Chapa” menu.

Prizes Annex

Prizes and criteria may be changed or removed monthly.

MILONGUER@ OF THE MONTH

At month’s end, the user with the highest Chapa score (most points) will win the MILONGUER@ OF THE MONTH award. This award can only be won once per year.

In case of a tie, the winner will be selected by random draw.

Check your ranking under the “Prizes” menu when logged in. Rankings are updated daily at 5:00 AM Buenos Aires time (end of tango day).

Winners agree to promotional use as described in the program Terms.
