What type of Information do we collect?

Personal information: When you access our website using your Facebook account, we shall have access to your profile address, name, e-mail and list of friends who have already signed in Hoy Milonga using their Facebook account, and to any additional information that we need to connect to Facebook. It is important to make clear that we do not have access to your Facebook account password, nor are we allowed to post on your wall.

Automatic information: When you visit the Site Hoy Milonga we automatically collect certain information on your computer. For example, we collect sign-in data, including IP address, Web browsers software and referring website. We shall also collect information on your online activity, such as previously displayed content and visited pages. The aim of collecting this information is to understand better the interests of our users and customize their user experience. Furthermore, when you send us an e-mail to make any comment or ask any question, we shall collect your name and your e-mail address.

Information supplied by the User: we collect the information about the events and milongas you will attend.

How do we use your information?

Any personal information collected shall be used to: a) offer the services of the Site, as well as showing your name and milongas you will attend, to your friends, b) occasionally, send you important notifications. You cannot opt out of this, since these notifications contain important information for the relation between you and Hoy Milonga. c) offer promotions, events, etc., which you cannot opt out of.

Where is your information stored?

Your data is transferred, stored and processed in the United States, where our servers and data base are located. It is possible that the data protection laws and other American copyright laws do not have such a wide scope as your country’s. By using our services, you acknowledge that this information may be transferred to those premises.

Who do we share your information with

Your information remains with us. We do not sell e-mail lists, nor do we share them. Except in the case we need to: reply to judicial summons, judicial notifications or any other legal processes; to establish or perform our rights; to defend ourselves in any lawsuit, or as otherwise may be required by law. When considered necessary, we shall do research, prevent or take any necessary measures against illegal or presumably illegal activities, to protect and defend the rights, goods, assets and safety of Hoy Milonga.

How do we protect the data?

Hoy Milonga stores your personal data using IT programs and systems with limited access to employees with the legal credentials to do so. Nevertheless, we do not currently encrypt the information during its transmission.
